The Oldest Two

Here are the oldest of 5. They were once again a breeze to shoot. I am becoming more and more fond of shooting in Central Park. There are so many places and different scenes to use as backdrops. You would have to try hard to find a place that doesn't look great on camera. Hmmm, maybe they do that on purpose. Ya think?

Memorial Day

The (little) ladies and I had a fabulous tea party at Alice's, on the Upper East Side, this weekend.

Then I met back up with Scott and we headed down to Battery Park City, where the Wolma's live. Cole and Raymond came down too. The area we had our picnic in reminded me of a scene from You've Got Mail.

You can see the World Trade Center construction site pretty clearly these days. Here's what it looks like as of Memorial Day.

Dana posted a pretty sweet discussion that she had with her son Jonathan concerning this site. Read it here if you have the time.

The future is stupid

Our "Public Safety Officers" here in Roosevelt Island ride around on Segways. The other day I saw one of them doing figure 8's around flower pots along the sidewalk. Needless to say there is not much crime here.

Good shoot

It's not every day you get to take pictures of someone who was made for it. This little girl, Abi Grace, gave me about 150 keepers out of 200. She's a natural. You might remember her two younger siblings that I raved about before. It must run in the family. I have the oldest two on Thursday. Yes thats 5. All beautiful.

Birthday and Mothers' Day

Happy Mothers Day to our Mothers down in FL! We love you and wish we could be there!

It's also my 28th birthday today! Holla!

A few of my cute friends decided to take me to an actual Mall to eat at one of my most missed places-ChickFilla! I realize that this may sound ghetto and/or lame, but it was one of the best trips ever. All of us (minus 1) are from the South and were used to eating at this place pretty much on the weekly, so when we all moved to NYC, it was a bit of a shock to find out that there was none nearby. After realizing that we all missed the place, and malls, my birthday then became the perfect excuse to leave the city and go. Thank you to Wes for grabbing your Mom's mini-van of fun for us, and thank you to my city girls for traveling all of the way to NJ and arranging such a fun Saturday!!! Just so you ladies know, that gallon of sweet tea that I bought and tried to smuggle back into the city, was UNSWEETENED. Seriously...such is life for me.

Today Scott and I celebrated by an early movie (Baby Mama) and dinner. I feel loved. Thank you to everyone!!

A Couple Pics

We took a walk along the river tonight since the weather was nice. This shot is of the Queensboro Bridge from RI. Also, click the link below it to see a great Panorama of the entire view of Manhattan.

Hmm what to eat tonight..?

The food situation here in our new neighborhood is bleak. Bleak I say. Here's an article about whats going on here.

NYCNOSH

Not much to say except that I agree with the guy who says the island "leaves residents with an almost Soviet set of food choices." Looks like we're going into the city to eat tonight, again.
