New York City baby! Con Ed says that they inspected the pipe earlier in the day because of "vapor conditions" and found nothing wrong. Way to stay on the ball Con Edison. This pipe was installed in 1924. I'll say it again. 1-9-2-4. Makes you wonder what else is lurking just a few feat beneath us, waiting to fail.

Wonderful, scary photos of an event that was bad enough to make you not want to cross the street, huh?. The cloud in that 3rd one looks eerily like the one rushing away from the towers 6 years ago. Can you believe it's been that long?
